Overnights: Movie channels accelerate in UK on Saturday
Movie channels witnessed a surge in UK ratings on Saturday, with Sony MAX taking the lead, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com .
The channel delivered a share of 0.11%, on par with market leader, Star Plus. Sony MAX’s top films were ‘Silsilay’ at 15:00 with 22,100 viewers, followed by ‘Piku’ at 19:00 with 17,100 viewers and ‘Bahubaali’ at 00:30 with 8,100 viewers.
ZEE Cinema was placed in second place in the movie genre with a share of 0.08%. Its top film was ‘Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana’ at 18:00 with 24,300 viewers.
Star Gold also did well with a share of 0.07% with ‘Drishyam’ at 11:15 on top with 18,400 viewers.
Star Plus’ top rated shows on Saturday were ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ at 19:30 with 65,600 viewers, followed by ‘Tu Sooraj Mein Saanjh Piyaji’ at 19:00 with 53,500 viewers.
Sony Entertainment Television also did well with a share of 0.06%, while ZEE TV fetched 0.05%, Colors with 0.03% and Hum TV with 0.02%.
