Overnights: Mind-boggling figures put Hum Masala at No.2

Touted as the UK’s first Asian cookery TV channel, Hum Masala is breaking all records by beating popular GECs with its innovative programming line-up, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com .

Hum Masala surprised by getting the biggest all-day share on Thursday with 0.14%, beating its sister channel, Hum TV which notched up 0.09%. Moreover, Hum Masala was ahead of Indian giants ZEE TV, Sony Entertainment Television and Colors, which clocked up 0.02%, 0.03% and 0.05% respectively. Star Plus stayed ahead with 0.26%.

The biggest show on Hum Masala on Thursday was ‘Tarka’ at 15:00 with 37,500 viewers, followed by ‘Handi’ at 16:00 with 33,000 viewers and a further 34,200 viewers at 22:00. ‘Zindagi Gulzar Hai’ at 20:00 also did well with 30,200 viewers.

Star Plus’ top rated show was ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ at 19:30 with 128,300 viewers, followed by ‘Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon – Season 3’ at 20:00 with 84,000 viewers, ‘Naamkarann’ at 21:00 with 79,200 viewers and ‘Meri Durga’ at 12:30 with 65,300 viewers.

On Colors, ‘Savitri Devi College & Hospital’ at repeat at 22:30 fetched 42,300 viewers, followed by ‘Udann’ repeat at 23:30 with 31,000 viewers and ‘Swabhimaan’ at 21:30 with 5,700 viewers.

On ZEE TV, ‘Kundali Bhagya’ at 21:30 drew 10,500 viewers, followed by ‘Jeet Gayi Toh Piya Morey’ at 22:00 with 10,300 viewers and ‘Aisi Deewangi’ at 22:30 with 8,100 viewers.

On Sony TV, ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ at 21:00 attracted 32,000 viewers, followed by ‘Crime Patrol’ at 22:30 with 5,100 viewers and ‘Yeh Unn Dino Ki Baatein’ at 20:30 with 1,600 viewers.

On Hum TV, ‘Naseebon Jali’ at 19:00 pulled in 41,900 viewers, followed by ‘Daldal’ at 20:00 with 25,500 viewers and ‘Ullu Baraye Farokht Nahi’ with 20,800 viewers.

On Geo TV, ‘Sawera’ at 19:30 raked in 13,600 viewers, followed by ‘Main Akeli’ at 20:00 with 12,800 viewers.
