‘Meri Aashiqui’ final episode bows out quietly

The popular series ‘Meri Aashiqui’, which came to an end last night on Rishtey (UK) and Colors (India) exited quietly, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com.

‘Meri Aashiqui’ has been one of the biggest shows recently aired on the channel with record ratings in the UK for Rishtey. However, recently, the show has underperformed hence the broadcaster’s decision to pull the show off. The final episode last night at 20:30 was watched by 38,400 viewers – peaking at 49,200 viewers – a far cry from the 90-100,000 viewers it used to deliver. ‘Kasam’ will be taking over the 20:30 slot from 7th March.

Elsewhere on Rishtey, ‘Uttaran’ was the most watched show with 46,900 viewers at 18:30, followed by ‘Thapki’ at 20:00 with 45,100 viewers and ‘Laado’ at 32,400 viewers.

On Star Plus, ‘Mere Angne Mein’ took lead with 114,600 viewers at 17:30, followed by ‘Saathiya’ at 19:00 with 110,500 viewers and ‘Silsila Pyaar Ka’ at 20:30 with 102,800 viewers. ‘Siya Ke Ram’ at 20:00 registered 89,800 viewers. Meanwhile, the afternoon band on the channel was led by ‘Mahabharat’ at 14:00 with 39,000 viewers, followed by ‘Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon’ at 15:30 with 31,900 viewers and ‘Manmarziyan’ at 13:30 with 28,300 viewers.

On Colors, ‘Swaragini’ at 21:35 was watched by 60,300 viewers, followed by ‘Udaan’ at 19:30 with 35,200 viewers and ‘Trishakti’ at 20:00 with 21,100 viewers.

On &TV, ‘Gangaa’ delivered one of its biggest ratings with 54,000 viewers at 20:00, followed by ‘Santoshi Maa’ at 19:30 with 25,400 viewers and ‘Begusarai’ at 22:00 with 18,600 viewers.

On Hum TV, ‘Sehra Main Safar’ at 21:00 took lead with 58,200 viewers, followed by ‘Maan’ at 20:00 with 36,200 viewers and ‘Ishq-e-Benam’ at 19:30 with 28,400 viewers.

On Geo TV, ‘Tera Mera Rishta’ at 20:00 with 3,100 viewers, followed by ‘Sila Aur Jannat’ at 21:00 with 1,900 viewers.

On Prime TV, Pakistan Super League match between Peshawar and Quetta was watched by 23,300 viewers – peaking at 35,700 viewers.
