Star Plus’ hit show ‘Mere Angne Mein’ is turning out to be one of the channel’s biggest ever shows outside the primetime slot, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsia.

While channels are known for repeats or re-runs during afternoon and early evening time slots, Star Plus has got a winner on its hands with ‘Mere Angne Mein’ proving a raging success in the 17:30 – 18:30 slot. Last night, the show pulled in its biggest ever audience with over 155,400 viewers – peaking at nearly 200,000 viewers. The show pulled in more viewers than any primetime show on other channels. ‘Saathiya’ was the most watched show on the channel with 160,600 viewers at 19:00, followed by ‘Mere Angne Mein’ and ‘Yeh Hai Mohababtein’ at 19:30 with 140,000 viewers. ‘Suhani Si Ek Ladki’ at 18:30 also did well with 124,900 viewers.

On Hum TV, blockbuster series ‘RuBaru’ ended with 74,000 viewers at 21:00, followed by ‘Sangat’ at 20:00 with 52,500 viewers and ‘Ishq Benam’ at 19:30 with 34,200 viewers.

On Colors, ‘Swaragini’ led ratings with 51,100 viewers at 21:00, followed by ‘Ishq Ka Rang Safed’ at 20:30 with 27,200 viewers and ‘Bigg Boss 9’ at 21:30 with 24,300 viewers.

On Rishtey, ‘Thapki’ won the ratings battle with 65,100 viewers at 20:00, followed by ‘Meri Aashiqui’ at 20:30 with 46,900 viewers and ‘Uttaran’ at 18:30 with 32,200 viewers.

On &TV, ‘Gangaa’ led the way with 32,900 viewers at 20:00, followed by ‘Yeh Kahan Aa Gaye Hum’ at 21:00 with 23,300 viewers and ‘Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hain’ at 20:30 with 14,200 viewers.

On Geo TV, ‘Mujhe Kuch Kenha Hai’ at 21:00 continued to do well with 56,100 viewers at 21:00, followed by ‘Sada Sukhi Raho’ special with 26,900 viewers and ‘Jannat’ at 22:00 with 21,300 viewers.

On PTC Punjabi, ‘Voice Of Punjab 6’ pulled in 6,800 viewers at 20:00.
