'MasterChef India' continues to rule UK TV

‘MasterChef India’ was once again the UK’s most watched Asian TV show last night, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsia.

The show attracted the biggest audience on UK Asian TV yesterday with 213,000 viewers tuning in at 20:00 – peaking at 264,800 viewers. In second place was ‘SaraswatiChandra’ with 182,000 and in third ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’ with 172,700 viewers.

The others in the pecking order were ‘Pyar Ka Dard Hai’ (166,500), ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ (144,700), ‘Saathiya’ (146,200), ‘Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai’ (125,200) and ‘Veera’ (106,100).

Over on Sony SAB TV, ‘Baal Veer’ was the most watched show on the channel with 71,600 – peaking at 78,600. In second place was ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ was in second with 59,100 and in third ‘Chidiyaghar’ with 13,700 viewers.

On Rishtey, ‘Jeevan Saathi’ was the biggest draw for the channel with 86,400 viewers. In second place was ‘Bairi Piya’, which got 54,600 viewers and in third place was ‘Na Aana Iss Desh Laado’, which got 52,800 viewers.

On Zing, ‘Cloud 9’ episodes at 18:30 and 22:30 got just 1,000 viewers each. ‘Ten On Ten’ at 16:30 at 9,200 viewers and ‘Bollywood Bulletin’ with 5,000.

On Star Life Ok, ‘Devon Ka Dev Mahadev’ with 22,500 got the best ratings for the channel, followed by ‘Savdhaan India’ with 12,000 and in third with ‘Amrit Manthan’ with 11,100 viewers.
