Overnights: ‘MasterChef India’ tops Thursday

‘MasterChef India’ on Star Plus took the ratings crown last night garnering the most viewers for an Asian TV show, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsia.

The cookery reality TV show pulled in 245,400 viewers at 20:00 – peaking at 302,000 viewers – one of the biggest for the show. In second place was ‘SaraswatiChandra’, which got 185,500 viewers, followed by ‘Pyar Ka Dard Hai’ at 22:00 with 154,000 viewers.

The others in the pecking order were ‘Saathiya’ (153,300), ‘Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai’ (141,200), ‘Veera’ (126,400), ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’ (154,000), ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ (93,200) and ‘Ek Ghar Banuanga’ (90,900).

On Rishtey, ‘Na Aana Iss Desh Laado’ was the channel topper yesterday with 77,300 viewers, followed by ‘Jeevan Saathi’ at 20:00 with 61,600 viewers and ‘Bani – Ishq Da Kalma’ next with 57,500 viewers.

On ITV4, the Indian Premier League cricket matches yesterday registered 153,100 viewers from 11:00 – peaking at 335,400 viewers.

On Star Life Ok, ‘Savdhaan India’ pulled in 24,000 viewers, followed by ‘Devon Ka Dev Mahadev’ with 23,400 viewers and ‘Amrit Manthan’ got 19.500 viewers.
