Overnights: ‘MasterChef India’ tops Star Plus’ new afternoon slot

Star Plus’ revamped afternoon slot with a slew of re-run shows between 13:00 – 16:00 started off well with ‘MasterChef India’ scoring best from the rest.

According to exclusive data obtained by BizAsia, the cookery reality TV show at 13:00 pulled in 21,800 viewers – peaking at 24,300 viewers. ‘Ek Hasina Thi’ at 15:00 was next with 21,700 viewers and ‘Mahabharat’ at 14:00 (60-miniutes) with 18,500 viewers. ‘Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon’ at 15:30 underperformed with just 6,500 viewers at 15:30.

The top show on the channel overall was ‘Saathiya’ at 19:00 with 129,400 viewers, followed by ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’ at 21:00 with 128,800 viewers and ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ at 19:30 with 120,300 viewers.

On Colors, ‘Bigg Boss 9’ ruled Monday night ratings with 58,400 viewers at 21:30, followed by ‘Ishq Ka Rang Safed’ at 20:30 with 34,100 viewers and ‘Swaragini’ at 21:00 with 30,200 viewers.

On Rishtey, ‘Thapki’ led ratings with 80,400 viewers, followed by ‘Uttaran’ at 18:30 with 60,300 viewers and ‘Kitani Mohabbat Hai’ at 19:30 with 58,300 viewers.

On &TV, ‘Gangaa’ at 20:00 took lead with 38,400 viewers, followed by ‘Yeh Kahan Aa Gaye Hum’ at 21:00 with 20,100 viewers and ‘Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hain’ at 20:30 with 17,900 viewers.

On Hum TV, ‘Maan’ was top with 52,300 viewers at 20:00, followed by ‘Mujhe Apna Bana Lo’ at 21:00 with 44,200 viewers and ‘Aik Thi Misaal’ at 22:00 with 38,200 viewers.

On Geo TV, ‘Ali Ki Ammi’ at 20:00 registered 31,400 viewers, followed by ‘Riston Ki Dor’ at 21:00 with 24,200 viewers and ‘Jannat’ at 22:00 with 18,000 viewers.
