Overnights: ‘MasterChef India’ tops Friday ratings

‘MasterChef India’ has been one of the biggest success stories for Star Plus UK after continuously topping the ratings since its launch and once again the show was the most watched on UK Asian TV last night.

The 20:00 reality TV show, which comes to an end next week, pulled in 241,200 viewers, followed by ‘SaraswatiChandra’ with 232,400 viewers and ‘Saathiya’ at 19:00 with 221,800 viewers.

The others in the pecking order were ‘Pyar Ka Dard Hai’ (199,900), ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’ (174,200), ‘Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai’ (134,300), ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ (126,800), ‘Ek Ghar Bananuga’ (96,700) and ‘Veera’ (77,400).

On Rishtey, ‘Bairi Piya’ was the most watched show on the channel with 69,100 viewers, ‘Bani – Ishq Da Kalma’ was next with 58,600 and ‘Jeevan Saathi’ next with 42,700 viewers.

On Star Life Ok, ‘Amrit Manthan’ was the channel driver with 30,800 viewers at 19:30, followed by ‘Savdhaan India’ with 27,800 viewers and ‘Deon Ka Dev Mahadev’ next with 11.400 viewers.

On Zing, ‘ZEE Multiplex’ at 15:00 got the most viewers with 24,700 viewers, followed by the repeat telecast of ‘Brits Bollywood’ with 23,400 viewers and ‘Pure Bollywood at 16:00 next with 23,300 viewers. ‘Cloud 9’ rated zero in both slots.
