'MasterChef India' continues to rule UK TV

‘MasterChef India’ was back on top as the UK’s most watched Asian show last night, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsia.

The cookery reality TV show pulled in 217,100 viewers – peaking at 267,300 viewers, followed by ‘SaraswatiChandra’ with 189,000 viewers – peaking at 220,400 viewers. In third place was ‘Pyar Ka Dard Hai’ with 156,000 viewers.

The others in the pecking order were ‘Saathiya’ (150,700), ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’ (144,700), ‘Veera’ (128,500), ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ (109,100), ‘Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai’ (84,600) and ‘Ek Ghar Banaunga’ (35,300).

On Rishtey, the channel continued with its latest ratings upswing with ‘Na Aana Iss Desh Laado’ pulling in 115,800 viewers, followed by ‘Bairi Piya’ with 84,000 viewers and ‘Jeevan Saathi’ got 69,800 viewers. The repeat telecast of ‘Vicky Donor’ got 6,900 viewers at 21:30.

On Star Life Ok, ‘Amrit Manthan’ was back on top of the channel’s ratings with 28,400 viewers, followed by ‘Devon Ka Dev Mahadev’ with 19,500 viewers and ‘Savitri’ next with 16,400 viewers.

On Sony SAB TV, ‘Jeanie Aur Juju’ stayed top with 62,600 viewers, followed by ‘Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ with 34,500 viewers and ‘Chidiyaghar’ next with 33,800 viewers.
