Overnights: ‘MasterChef India’ gets record audience & tops Saturday in UK

Star Plus’ popular weekend series ‘MasterChef India’ broke the 100k for the first time this season, with record numbers tuning in on Saturday, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com.

‘MasterChef India’ was the No.1 show on Saturday with an audience of 104,000 viewers at 19:00 – peaking at 153,200 viewers. It was followed by ‘Dance+ 5’ at 20:00 with 43,000 viewers and ‘MasterChef Ki Class’ at 18:00 with 12,000 viewers. Movie ‘Luka Chuppi’ at 15:30 pulled in 4,300 viewers.

In terms of channel share, BritAsia TV was No.1 with 0.16%, followed by Colors with 0.15%, Star Plus with 0.12%, Sony Entertainment Television and Foodxp with 0.08%, Star Bharat with 0.07%, ZEE Cinema, Sony MAX, PTC Punjabi and New Vision TV with 0.04%, Sony MAX 2, ARY Family and Hum TV with 0.03%, Colors Rishtey, Samaa TV, Star Gold and Dunya News with 0.02%, ZEE TV and Geo TV with 0.01%.

BritAsia TV’s top attractions on Saturday were ‘Fresh Hits’ at 12:00 and ‘Big Names Massive Hits’ at 13:00 with 39,900 viewers each. Shows between 13:30 and 19:00 also attracted an average of 30,000 viewers.

On Colors, ‘Bigg Boss 13 – Weekend Ka Vaar’ ruled with 95,900 viewers at 21:30, followed by repeat at 17:00 with 22,100 viewers. Repeat of ‘Choti Sarrdaarni’ at 19:00 pulled in 13,700 viewers and a further 25,100 viewers at 19:30.

On Sony TV, ‘Indian Idol 11’ attracted 42,300 viewers at 20:00, followed by ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ at 21:30 with 21,900 viewers and ’10 Ka Dum’ at 23:00 with 12,600 viewers.

On Hum TV, ‘Zindagi Tere Bina’ was watched by 18,300 viewers at 21:00, followed by repeat of ‘Malaal-e-Yaar’ at 11:00 with 14,800 viewers.

On ARY Family, ‘Meray Paas Tum Ho’ led with 21,300 viewers at 20:00, followed by ‘Ghalati’ repeat at 16:30 with 9,300 viewers.

On ZEE TV, ‘Not Just Superstars’ at 20:30 topped ratings with 5,700 viewers.
