Star Life Ok has witnessed a huge ratings surge for its new mythological show ‘Devon Ke Dev Mahadev’ – with one of the best ever audience figures for the show since it launched in UK.

Similarly, ‘Bairi Piya’ on Rishtey has seen a climb in its viewing figures, according to exclusive UK viewing data for Tuesday obtained by BizAsia from Attentional.

Data for last night (Tuesday 22nd January), Star Life Ok’s show ‘Devon Ke Dev Mahadev’ at 20:00 touched an impressive 60,500 – peaking at 69,500. New cookery show ‘Welcome’ at 22:00 pulled in a similar audience to the launch episode on Monday night – 38,800.

On Rishtey, ‘Bairi Piya’ at 20:30 grabbed a huge 72,400 yesterday, followed by ‘Na Aana Is Des Laado’ at 21:00 with a reasonable 34,900 and new show ‘Mere Ghar Aayi Ek Nanhi Pari’ pulled in 25,400 viewers at 19:00.

Star Plus, continued its dominance at the top with ‘Pyaar Ka Dard Hai Meetha Meetha Pyaara Pyaara’ at 22:00 with 159,800 viewers tuning in. The show bounced back to the top of the chart. ‘Yeh Khamoshiyan’ jumped to the number two position with 135,800 and ‘Saathiya’ in third with 128,800. ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’ slid from the top to fourth place with 128,200. ‘Ek Hazaron Mein Meri Behna Hai’ was next with a slump in its ratings – 108,900.

‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ (95,800) and ‘Kaali’ (94,700) were at the bottom of the table.

On Zing, local production ‘Cloud 9’, which had one-hour of publicity on the BBC Asian Network yesterday morning on the station’s discussion show failed to make any headway. The show averaged at 2,000 at 10:30 and 18:30. At 16:30 and 22:30 the show scored zero.

‘World Of Bollywood’ at 18:00 was the channel’s most watched show with an average 13,300 viewers.
