Overnights: ‘Kabir Singh’ beats ‘Super 30’ on Saturday in UK

As well as rivalry between TV channels, it was a rivalry between two huge Bollywood films in UK ratings on Saturday.

According to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com, the premiere of ‘Kabir Singh’ on Sony MAX proved a little more popular than ‘Super 30’ on Star Gold.

The Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani blockbuster was watched by 14,400 viewers, slightly more than the 12,200 viewers, who tuned into the premiere of ‘Super 30’ starring Hrithik Roshan on Star Gold. Both films aired at 21:00.

Overall, Sony MAX was only marginally ahead with a share of 0.10%, compared to 0.09% for Star Gold. Cricket on both channels propelled the ratings with India v South Africa pushing Star Gold and the ongoing Pakistan v Sri Lanka tournament giving edge to Sony MAX.
