After two months of its launch, the troubled show ‘Kaali Ek Punaravtar’ has finally started showing signs of life by becoming the most watched Asian TV show in the UK on Wednesday night.

According to exclusive UK viewing data obtained by BizAsia from Attentional, ‘Kaali’ delivered 133,100 viewers at 20:00 – it peaked to 154,500. ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’ was in second place with 131,400 at 21:00 – peaking at 141,500. ‘Pyaar Ka Dard Meetha Meetha Pyaara Pyaara’ was in third with 127,900 – peaking at 150,000.

In fourth, ‘Saathiya’ pulled a decent 126,700 viewers in the 19:00 slot, ‘Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai’ was next with 120,900 viewers, followed by ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ (119,400), ‘Yeh Khamoshiyan’ (112,600) and ‘Veera’ (90,700) completed the list.

‘Jaane Kya Baat Hui’ on Rishtey was next in place with an impressive 65,300 viewers at 19:00. This was followed with ‘Jeevan Saathi’ at 20:00 – it had a viewership of 45,100 – peaking at 57,500. ‘Swarg’ continued to do well in the 18:30 slot with 38,900 viewers.

‘Devon Ka Dev Mahadev’ in the 20:00 slot on Star Life Ok pulled in 47,300 viewers, while ‘Welcome’ at 22:00 managed to attract 34,300.

Zing’s imported shows continued to fare better than the locally produced. ‘World Of Bollywood’ at 18:00 was the most watched show on the channel with 29,000 – peaking at 38,500. ‘Soul Music’ at 17:30 was watched by 21,900 viewers. Local production ‘Cloud 9’ mustered in 3,300 viewers at 18:30, while the 22:30 telecast repeat could only garner 2,900 viewers. The 10:30 episode got a zero rating and the 16:30 telecast attracted just 300 viewers.
