Overnights: ‘Junior MasterChef’ ahead of ‘Bigg Boss 7’

The latest episode of ‘Junior MasterChef’ on Star Plus beat the launch episode of ‘Bigg Boss 7’ last night, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsia.

‘Junior MasterChef’, which airs weekends at 21:00 pulled in 103,200 viewers last night – peaking at 123,400 viewers, while the 2.5 hour launch special episode of ‘Bigg Boss 7’ garnering an average 90,500 viewers. The hit reality TV show, which saw 14 celebrities enter the house including Kushal Tandon, Apurva and Shilpa Agnihotri and Tanisha Mukherjee, is expected to be another big series for the channel. What remains to be seen is how much of a regular viewership the channel will muster in the 21:00 slot daily.

The finale of ‘Bigg Boss 4’ (re-run) on Rishtey got an impressive 85,800 viewers, followed by Pakistani drama ‘Maat’ at 20:30 with 77,800 viewers and ‘Arjun’ on Star Plus next with 63,700 viewers.

On Star Life Ok, ‘Savdhaan India’ at 23:00 got 32,400 viewers, while the episode earlier at 22:00 pulled in 22,000 viewers. ‘Shapath’ at 21:00 got 8,200 viewers.
