The new season of ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa’ made a huge splash in the UK Asian TV ratings last night, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsia.

The hit reality TV show pulled in a respectable 101,300 viewers between the bumper launch episode at 21:00 until 23:30. It peaked at 161,700 viewers. It will be interesting to see how the show will sustain its audience over the next few weeks. This year’s series boasts of some big known personalities including Karan Tacker, Ashish Sharma and Sophie Choudry.

Star Plus’ fictions also did well with ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’ remaining leader of the pack with 174,600 viewers – peaking at 214,600 viewers, followed by ‘Ek Hasina Thi’ with 146,800 viewers and ‘Saathiya’ in third with 141,500 viewers.

On Rishtey, Urdu drama ‘Aasmano Pe Likha Hai’ was top with 15,100 viewers, followed by ‘Aamne Saamne’ with 9,200 viewers.
