Overnights: ‘Jhalak’ 2014 final beats all rival shows in UK

The grand finale of ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa’ on Colors was easily the most watched show on UK Asian television last night, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsia.

The 2.5 hour spectacular, which was won by TV actor Ashish Sharma, pulled in 114,900 viewers at 21:00 – peaking with an audience of 157,100 viewers. Incidentally, the show’s final garnered the same amount of audience as last year. Drashti Dhami’s win last year was watched by 114,700 viewers – peaking higher though with 167,800 viewers.

On Star Plus, ‘SaraswatiChandra’ bowed out quietly but on top with 59,600 viewers – peaking at 64,800 viewers, followed by ‘Ek Hasina Thi’ with 55,500 viewers and ‘Pyar Ka Dard Hai’ with 51,100 viewers.

On Hum TV Europe, ‘Zindagi Gulzar Hai’ was the most watched fiction last night with 84,900 viewers – peaking at 112,200 viewers.

On Star Life Ok, ‘Savdhaan India’ delivered 10,300 viewers and ‘Dare 2 Dance’ picked up with an audience of 8,200 viewers.

On Rishtey, Pakistani drama ‘Numm’ did well with 16,800 viewers and ‘India’s Got Talent’ averaged with 12,200 viewers.
