Star Gold was by far the most watched Asian TV channel in UK ratings, owing it to the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL 2019) season, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com.
Star Gold’s share was at a huge 0.35%, followed by Sony Entertainment Television with 0.22%, Star Plus with 0.11%, Hum TV with 0.10%, Sony MAX and Sony SAB TV with 0.09%, PTC Punjabi with 0.08%, Colors with 0.07%, New Vision TV with 0.06%, Geo TV with 0.05% and ZEE TV with 0.02%.
The IPL 2019 match between Kings XI Punjab and Mumbai Indians at 09:00 pulled in 46,000 viewers – peaking at 86,900 viewers, followed by the second match of Saturday between Delhi Capitals and Kolkata Knight Riders at 13:45 delivering 38,700 viewers – peaking at 77,600 viewers. The repeat telecast of the match at 17:45 was viewed by 37,700 viewers.
