Overnights: IPL 2019 on Star Gold thrashes rivals on Sunday in UK

Star TV UK is jubilant today after smashing UK ratings with its Indian Premier League (IPL 2019) coverage on Sunday, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com.

Star Gold, the UK’s official broadcaster of the IPL 2019, witnessed a huge jump in its share with 0.35%. Sunrisers Hyderabad and Royal Challengers Bangalore match at 10:00 was watched by a huge 51,900 viewers – peaking at 83,200 viewers. The second match on Sunday between Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals at 14:45 with 53,700 viewers – peaking at 79,100 viewers. The repeat telecast of the first match at 18:45 pulled in 31,600 viewers.

Sony MAX also did well with its final day ODI coverage of Pakistan and Australia with the channel delivering a share of 0.09%. The match’s first innings pulled in 13,100 viewers and 20,100 viewers for the second innings.

Sony Entertainment Television was the second most watched Asian TV broadcaster with a share of 0.12%, followed by PTC Punjabi with 0.08%, Geo TV with 0.06%, Star Plus and ZEE Cinema with 0.05%, Hum TV and Star Bharat with 0.04%, B4U Movies, Colors and Sony SAB TV with 0.03% and ZEE TV slumped to just 0.01%.

On Sony TV, ‘Super Dancer – Chapter 3’ at 20:00 was watched by 55,400 viewers, followed by ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ at 21:30 with 43,800 viewers.

On Star Plus, ‘The Voice’ was top show with 16,500 viewers at 20:00, followed by ‘Raja Rasoi’ at 18:30 with 14,600 viewers and ‘Divya Drishti’ at 21:30 with 10,300 viewers.

On ZEE Cinema, the ZEE Cine Awards 2019 pulled in 17,400 viewers at 16:30 – peaking at 34,500 viewers.

On Geo TV, ‘Romeo Weds Heer’ at 20:00 was top show with 21,500 viewers, followed by ‘Qaid’ repeat at 23:00 with 12,800 viewers and ‘Mera Rab Waris’ at 22:00 with 12,700 viewers.

On Hum TV, ‘Anaa’ repeat at 17:00 was biggest show with 13,900 viewers, followed by ‘Choti Choti Baatein’ at 22:00 with 12,500 viewers and ‘Meri Unsuni Kahani’ repeat at 16:00 with 9,600 viewers.

ZEE TV slumped to a low on Sunday with ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Lil Champs’ the biggest show with 9,100 viewers.
