The finale of the Indian Premier League 2016 proved a huge success on Sky Sports 5 last night, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com.

The 4.5 hours spectacular, which saw Sunrisers Hyderabad win by 8 runs, was watched by 112,300 viewers – peaking at 214,300 viewers. It was aired between 15:00 and 19:30.

The most watched fiction on UK Asian television was ‘Tamanna’ on Star Plus with 94,400 viewers at 21:30, followed by ‘Mere Angne Mein’ at 18:00 with 90,700 viewers and ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ at 19:30 with 80,200 viewers. Earlier in the day, the repeat telecast of Star Parivaar Awards at 12:00 fetched 28,900 viewers and the movie premiere of ‘Tere Bin Laden – Dead Or Alive’ mustered in 10,800 viewers at 15:30.

On Colors, movie ‘Airlift’ was watched by 21,200 viewers – peaking at 39,700 viewers, followed by ‘India’s Got Talent’ at 22:30 with 10,000 viewers and ‘Naagin’ at 19:00 with 9,100 viewers.

On &TV, movie ‘Taal’ at 12:30 delivered 15,200 viewers, followed by ‘So You Think You Can Dance’ at 20:00 with 7,200 viewers and movie ‘Maine Pyar Kiya’ at 16:00 with 5,500 viewers. ‘The Place To Eat’ at 19:30 was watched by 1,200 viewers.

On Rishtey, ‘Thapki’ was top with 29,800 viewers at 20:00, followed by ‘Madhubala’ at 19:30 with 13,000 viewers and ‘Love School’ at 20:30 with 11,200 viewers.

On SAB TV, movie ‘Munnabhai MBBS’ at 17:00 pulled in 16,700 viewers, followed by movie ‘Wazir’ at 20:00 with 6,800 viewers – the earlier telecast at 13:00 could only bring in 1,200 viewers to the channel.

On PTC Punjabi, film ‘SardaarJi’ at 12:30 brought in 4,400 viewers.

On Hum TV, ‘Udaari’ topped ratings with 68,300 viewers at 20:00, followed by ‘Akbar Asghari’ at 21:00 with 38,100 viewers and ‘Tere Mere Beech’ at 22:00 with 11,700 viewers.

On Geo TV, ‘Shaam Dhalay’ at 21:00 was watched by 1,400 viewers.
