Overnights: ‘IPKKND’ & ‘Saathiya’ lead on Star Plus
‘Iss Pyar Ko Kya Naam Doon’ remained the most watched Hindi drama serial last night (26th November) on Star Plus UK, according to data obtained exclusively by BizAsia.
The popular romantic series, which comes to an end this week, had the biggest audience amongst all shows on Star Plus UK. It had an audience of 208,800 between 20:00 and 20:30 – peaking at 226,200. It was confirmed on BizAsia yesterday that ‘Iss Pyar Ko Kya Naam Doon’ will end after its lead star Barun Sobti announced his plans to leave the show.
‘Saathiya’ became the second most watched show – most likely due to its character Kokilaben hosting the Star Parivaar Live show at the weekend in Birmingham, UK. The show was close on the heels of ‘Iss Pyar Ko Kya Naam Doon’ with an audience of 207,100 at 19:00. One of the biggest audiences for the show.
New series ‘Mujhse Kuch Kehti…Yeh Khamoshiyan’ is also proving a hit for the channel – it raked in an audience of 182,700 at 19:30 last night. ‘Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behnaa Hai’ was next with 178,200, followed by ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’ with 175,900.
