Overnights: ‘Indian Summers’ boosts Channel 4
Channel 4’s new drama ‘Indian Summers’ fetched nearly 3 million viewers on Sunday night.
The show, which premiered between 21:00 – 22:40 averaged with 2.9 million viewers (including Channel 4 +1). However, it was beaten in the ratings by ‘The Casual Vacancy’ on BBC One (6.6m) and ITV1’s ‘Mr Selfridge’ (3.2m).
Channel 4 said ‘Indian Summers’, which had a budget of �14m, had recorded its “highest drama launch since Elizabeth I” in 2005.
