Overnights: ‘Indian Idol 10’ re-run on Sony TV storms ratings on Friday

The re-run of ‘Indian Idol 10’ is proving to be a ratings bonanza for Sony Entertainment Television, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com.

The hit reality show was easily the most watched show and attracted the biggest ratings for any Asian reality show during the lockdown period on Friday. It was watched by a whopping 75,900 viewers at 18:00 – peaking at 96,500 viewers. ‘Crime Patrol’ earlier in the afternoon at 15:30 was watched by 40,700 viewers and another 27,400 viewers at 14:30.

Sony TV was the biggest Asian TV broadcaster on Friday with a share of 0.15%, followed behind by Star Plus with 0.08%, Hum TV with 0.06%, Colors with 0.05%, Star Gold, Geo TV, PTC Punjabi and Sony MAX with 0.04%, Sony MAX 2, Republic Bharat and B4U Movies with 0.03%, ZEE Cinema, Colors Rishtey, Dunya News, Sony SAB TV, Colors Cineplex and Geo TV with 0.02%, Star Bharat with 0.01% and ZEE TV with a zero share.

On Star Plus, ‘Mahabharat’ led with 30,100 viewers at 17:30, followed by ‘Mahabharat’ at 18:30 with 23,900 viewers, ‘Devon Ke Dev Mahadev’ at 21:00 with 23,700 viewers, ‘Mahabharat’ at 18:00 with 19,800 viewers and ‘Saathiya’ at 15:30 with 19,500 viewers.

On Hum TV, ‘Zebaish’ attracted 51,300 viewers at 20:00, followed by ‘Mehboob Apke Qadmon Main’ at 21:00 with 16,500 viewers, ‘Wafa Kar Chalay’ at 19:00 with 14,900 viewers and ‘Soteli Maamta’ at 19:30 with 14,600 viewers.

On Colors, ‘Mahabharat’ at 21:00 was watched by 21,700 viewers and the 20:00 episode pulled in 20,700 viewers.

On Geo TV, ‘Tamana’ raked in 8,700 viewers at 21:00, followed by ‘Meher Posh’ at 20:00 with 7,100 viewers.
