Overnights: IIFA 2016 re-run on Rishtey does better

The re-run of this year’s Indian Film Academy Awards (IIFA) on Rishtey did marginally better than its first broadcast on Colors last week, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com.

The event was watched by 24,800 viewers at 20:30 – peaking at 50,800 viewers on Rishtey last night – making it the most watched show on the channel yesterday. The original run on Colors last Sunday could only attract a measly 13,100 viewers on Colors. Also on Rishtey, ‘Uttaran’ delivered 14,200 viewers at 18:30 and ‘Thapki’ at 20:00 with 11,500 viewers.

On Star Plus, ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ at 19:30 raked in 165,500 viewers, followed by ‘Mere Angne Mien’ at 18:00 with 153,800 viewers, ‘Suhani Si Ek Ladki’ at 18:30 with 153,300 viewers and ‘Saathiya’ at 19:00 with 141,900 viewers. ‘Siya Ke Ram’ at 20:00 pulled in 113,500 viewers.

On Colors, ‘Kavach’ topped ratings with 6,700 viewers, followed by ‘Code Red’ at 23:30 with 3,600 viewers and ‘Balika Vadhu’ at 19:00 with 2,800 viewers.

On &TV, the penultimate episode of ‘So You Think You Can Dance’ at 20:00 was watched by 6,700 viewers, followed by movie ‘Aitraaz’ at 16:00 with 5,300 viewers and ‘Jigarwala No.1’ with 3,200 viewers at midday.

On Star Gold, the premiere of Marathi film ‘Dagdi Chawl’ at 20:00 brought in 13,500 viewers.

On SAB TV, movie ‘Saathiya’ at 17:00 attracted 6,500 viewers, followed by ‘Dostana’ at 20:00 with 3,000 viewers and ‘Aarakshan’ at 13:30 with 2,100 viewers.

On Hum TV, ‘Akbari Asghari’ at 21:00 fetched 22,100 viewers, followed by ‘Mr Shamim’ at 19:30 with 14,600 viewers and ‘Yeh Kia Ho Gaya’ at 20:00 with 10,300 viewers.

On Geo TV, ‘Yeh Chahatein Yeh Shiddatein’ at 21:00 topped ratings with 2,500 viewers.
