Overnights: ‘Humsafar’ gets record ratings on Rishtey

The Pakistani drama ‘Humsafar’ aired last night on Rishtey, proved to be a huge hit for the channel – delivering the best ever ratings since its launch a few weeks ago.

According to exclusive data obtained by BizAsia, ‘Humsafar’, which broadcasts at 20:30 on Saturday and Sundays got 72,900 during the 60-minute slot – peaking at 114,700. ‘Humsafar’ has managed to break a record for Rishtey for being the first non-film/event show to attract such a huge rating at the weekend. ‘Humsafar’ is an imported show from Pakistani broadcaster, Hum TV.

The repeat telecast of ‘Dabangg’ on Rishtey at 17:30 mustered in 28,200 viewers. The crime show ‘Shaitaan’ at 21:30 attracted 26,700 viewers.

On Star Plus, the Saturday edition of ‘MasterChef India – Parivaar’ was the most watched show in the UK with 149,200 viewers at 22:00. Closely behind was the Maha Episode of ‘Pyar Ka Dard Hai’ where more secrets unfolded – it attracted 143,500 viewers at 19:00 and a further 24,300 viewers tuned in for the repeat at 23:30. A specially recorded concert of Rahat Fateh Ali Khan in Las Vegas, which aired on Star Plus UK at 21:00 yesterday pulled in 111,900. ‘Arjun’ at 20:00 did well too with 75,000 viewers.

On Star Life Ok, ‘Amrit Manthan’ omnibus pulled in an average 15,000 between 18:30 and 20:00. ‘Savdhaan India’ at 22:00 got 10,500 viewers.
