Overnights: Hum TV takes Saturday night lead

‘Digest Writer’ on Hum TV

Hum TV’s strong Saturday night fictions proved too much for rival Indian channels Star Plus, Colors and Rishtey in the UK ratings.

According to exclusive data obtained by BizAsia, ‘Digest Writer’ was the UK’s most watched show with 110,500 viewers – peaking at 152,600 viewers. The show was aired at 20:00 and was way ahead of ‘Tu Mera Hero’ at 20:00 on Star Plus, which got just 13,400 viewers, while ‘Nisha Aur Uske Cousins’ at 20:30 on Star Plus could only manage 33,300 viewers. At 21:00, ‘Humsafar’ on Hum TV also did very well with 97,000 viewers – peaking at 142,800 viewers.

On Star Plus, the most watched show on the channel was ‘MasterChef India’ at 21:30 with 90,200 viewers, followed by ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’ with 80,100 viewers and ‘Saathiya’ at 19:00 got 55,700 viewers.

On Colors, ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi’ at 21:00 was top show with 83,500 viewers, followed by ‘Code Red’ at 22:15, which attracted 17,400 viewers.

On Rishtey, ‘MTV Webbed’ at 21:00 was top with 11,200 viewers, followed by ‘Meri Aashiqui’ at 20:30 with 5,800 viewers and ‘Rajnish Hi Sahi’ at 19:30 with 2,500 viewers.

On DM Global, movie ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham’ at 21:30 delivered 11,700 viewers.

On PTC Punjabi, the repeat telecast of ‘Voice Of Punjab’ at 20:00 attracted 10,800 viewers.
