Overnights: Hum Masala breaks records with biggest ever ratings on Friday
Hum Masala emerged as the No.1 Asian TV broadcaster on Friday, delivering its biggest ever ratings in the UK, owing to the success of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com.
Hum Masala’s share touch a record high of 0.19% – its biggest ever share. It beat Star Plus, which dropped to No.2 with a share of 0.15%, followed by Sony Entertainment Television with 0.10%, Hum TV with 0.06%, Rishtey with 0.05%, Sony SAB TV with 0.04%, Star Bharat, ZEE TV, Colors and Geo TV with 0.03%.
The two PSL 2019 matches yesterday proved a huge ratings draw with the first game at 11:30 attracting 15,900 viewers, while the second match at 16:00 pulled in a further 42,300 viewers. The post-match shows at 15:00 and 19:30 raked in 40,500 viewers and 66,100 viewers respectively. Away from the cricket, ‘Tarka’ at 20:00 delivered 24,300 viewers.
Elsewhere on Star Plus, ‘Kullfi Kumarr Bajewala’ was No.1 show with 70,400 viewers at 20:30, followed by ‘Yeh Hai Mohababtein’ at 19:30 with 64,700 viewers, ‘Kasautii Zindagii Kay’ at 21:00 with 44,000 viewers, ‘Dil Toh Happy Hai Ji’ at 19:00 with 36,800 viewers, ‘Ishqbaaz’ at 20:00 with 32,400 viewers, ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ at 18:30 with 29,800 viewers, ‘Nazar’ at 22:00 with 25,900 viewers, ‘Krishna Chali London’ at 18:00 with 22,500 viewers and the last episode of ‘Karn Sangini’ with 15,000 viewers.
