The popular Pakistani entertainment channel, Hum Europe officially started reporting viewing data, supplied by BARB and BizAsia has the rundown how the channel shaped up.

According to exclusive data obtained by BizAsia for Monday 14th July, Hum Europe’s Ramadan programming disappointed with an average 2,000 viewers between 18:30 and 21:30. The biggest success on the channel was fiction ‘Mere Meherbaan’ at 21:30, which attracted 47,200 viewers – peaking at 70,200 viewers. Furthermore, the slot beat Indian channels Star Plus, Colors and Rishtey last night. Star Plus averaged with 35,100 viewers, while Colors averaged with just 16,100 viewers and Rishtey mustered in 10,200 viewers. In the afternoon slot ‘Ahista Ahista’ at 17:00 did well with an average of 14,900 viewers.

It should be added that Hum Europe is yet to commence a marketing campaign to promote its channel. It will also be interesting to see how numbers change when Ramadan programming ends and regular fictions takeover the schedule from July-end.

Hum Europe has become the first Pakistani entertainment channel to have its viewing data officially measured by BARB. Official data including weekly reach for the channel, will be made available by BARB in the next two weeks.
