Overnights: Huge launch for ‘KBC 10’ on Sony TV in UK

Sony Entertainment Television’s popular gameshow ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ (KBC 10) returned with a bang in UK ratings, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com .

The show now in its tenth season, hosted by Amitabh Bachchan, was watched by a whopping 54,000 viewers – double the viewership it opened up a year ago when it returned for season nine. ‘KBC 10’ had a peak audience of 78,000 viewers between 21:00 – 22:30. It was easily the most watched non-fiction show on UK Asian TV on Monday.

Sony TV’s share also jumped to 0.13% – The channel’s other big offerings on Monday included ‘Best Of Crime Patrol’ at midnight with 33,600 viewers, followed by ‘Mere Sai’ at 19:00 with 18,700 viewers.

Star Plus remained top Asian TV channel with a share of 0.22%. The channel’s biggest shows on Monday were ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ at 19:30 with 96,500 viewers, followed by ‘Kullfi Kumarr Bajewala’ at 20:30 with 88,000 viewers, ‘Krishna Chali London’ at 21:00 with 61,800 viewers, ‘Ishqbaaaz’ at 20:00 with 61,200 viewers, ‘Mariam Khan’ at 19:00 with 52,500 viewers and ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ at 18:30 with 39,700 viewers. ‘Nazar’ in its new slot was watched by 17,900 viewers at 21:30.

Geo TV was in third place with a share of 0.05%. Its top attractions were ‘Ghar Titli Ka Par’ at 18:00 with 16,900 viewers, followed by ‘Ghar Titli Ka Par’ at 17:00 with 16,700 viewers and ‘Beyreham’ at 19:00 and ‘Tum Se Hi Taluq Hai’ at 20:00 with 9,200 viewers each.

Prime TV and Colors fetched a share of 0.04%. ‘Bepannaah’ led Colors with 20,300 viewers, followed by ‘Silsila’ with 14,300 viewers.

ZEE TV’s share was at 0.03% with ‘Kundali Bhagya’ at 21:00 pulling in 12,400 viewers, followed by ‘Aapke Aa Jane Se at 21:30 with 12,300 viewers and ‘ZEE Companion’ at 17:30 with 10,500 viewers. New shows ‘Guddan’ at 18:30 pulled in 4,100 viewers and ‘Tujhse Hai Raabta’ with zero rating.

Hum TV’s share was at 0.02% with ‘Main Haar Nahi Maanungi’ at 22:00 with 10,600 viewers, followed by ‘Sadqay Tumharay’ at 21:00 with 9,700 viewers.
