Overnights: ‘Housefull 2’ fails to push Star Gold UK

The World TV Premiere of Bollywood movie, ‘Housefull 2’ (2012) starring Akshay Kumar, John Abraham and Asin failed to lift Star Gold anymore than usual.

The comedy, which was aired last night (Saturday 28th July) pulled in an audience of 40.200, according to exclusive overnight data supplied to BizAsia from audience data system ��� Attentional. The film was aired between 20:00 and 23:00 on Star Gold – a premiere for the channel. Whilst it averaged at 40.2k, the audience peaked at 92,000. The channel’s share averaged at 0.20%.

In comparison last week’s ‘Singham’ (2011), which aired during the same time slot, did better in the ratings than ‘Housefull 2’. ‘Singham’ had an audience of 45.400 after its umpteenth time on the channel, with a peak of 93.500. The channel’s share averaged at 0.24%.

During the same slot as ‘Housefull 2’, closest rival, UMP Movies could only manage an audience of 24.600, with a share of 0.15%.
