The 90-minute feature film documentary based on Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Malala Yousafzai boosted National Geographic’s channel last night, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com.

‘He Named Me Malala’ looked into Malala�۪s life both before and after an attack where she was wounded by a gunshot when returning home on her school bus in Pakistan�۪s Swat Valley. It was watched by 34,900 viewers between 21:00 – 22:30 – peaking at 53,600 viewers. A further 6,800 viewers watched the premiere of the film on sister channel, Nat Geo Wild at the same time.

National Geographic went all-out to promote the world television premiere of ‘He Named Me Malala’.
