Overnights: ‘Happy New Year’ on &TV peaks with 100k
The repeat telecast of Shah Rukh Khan’s blockbuster movie ‘Happy New Year’ peaked with nearly 100k viewers on New Years Day, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsia.
The action-comedy, which also stars Abhishek Bachchan and Deepika Padukone, averaged with 24,800 viewers – peaking at 95,000 viewers. The repeat telecast of ‘Begusarai’ at 18:00 benefited from the movie with a record 63,100 viewers tuning in. ‘Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hain’ at 20:30 pulled in 14,100 viewers.
Hum TV did very well in UK ratings last night with ‘Tumharay Siwa’ at 20:00 dominating the slot with 89,900 viewers – peaking at 109,200 viewers, followed by ‘Sehra Main Safar’ at 21:00 registered 69,300 viewers and ‘Joru Ka Ghulam’ at 19:00 with 27,500 viewers.
On Star Plus, the latest twist in ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ topped ratings with 189,900 viewers at 19:30, followed by ‘Saathiya’ at 19:00 with 119,000 viewers and ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’ at 21:00 with 105,100 viewers. ‘Mahabharat’ at 14:00 remained most watched afternoon show with 23,300 viewers, followed by ‘Baa Bahoo Aur Baby’ at 14:30 with 13,300 viewers and ‘Manmarzian’ at 13:30 with 10,700 viewers.
On Colors, ‘Swaragini’ led the channel’s ratings with 52,700 viewers at 21:00, followed by ‘Ishq Ka Rang Safed’ at 20:30 with 36,200 viewers and ‘Bigg Boss 9’ at 21:30 with 31,100 viewers.
On Rishtey, ‘Thapki’ was the most watched show at 20:00 with 66,000 viewers, followed by ‘Meri Aashiqui’ at 20:30 with 50,500 viewers and ‘Kaisi Yeh Yaariaan’ at 21:00 with 29,900 viewers.
On Geo TV, ‘Sada Sukhi Raho’ at 19:30 was top show with 36,200 viewers, followed by ‘Asia’s Singing Superstar’ at 21:00 with 11,100 viewers and ‘Tera Mera Rishta’ at 20:00 with 1,000 viewers.
