Overnights: Good Friday proves quiet UK ratings

The Easter holiday break started off on a poor note for UK Asian channels with all services delivering lower than usual viewership on Good Friday, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com.

Star Plus’ ‘Saathiya’ returned to the top with 145,200 viewers at 19:00 – peaking at 175,000 viewers, followed by ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’ at 21:00 with 125,200 viewers and ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ at 19:30 with 95,300 viewers.

On Colors, ‘Krishnadasi’ led the chart with 22,300 viewers, followed by ‘Swaragini’ repeat at 23:00 with 17,200 viewers (original at 21:00 with 10,200 viewers) and ‘Ashoka’ at 22:05 with 12,500 viewers.

On Rishtey, ‘Thapki’ was most watched show with 66,100 viewers, followed by ‘Kasam’ at 20:30 with 57,600 viewers and ‘Kaisi Yeh Yaariaan’ at 21:00 with 50,500 viewers.

On &TV, ‘Yeh Kahan Aa Gaye Hum’ at 21:00 topped ratings with 15,700 viewers, followed by ‘Gangaa’ at 20:00 with 10,700 viewers and ‘Meri Awaaz’ at 21:30 with 8,900 viewers.

On SAB TV, the second repeat of ‘Dilwale’ movie pulled in 7,600 viewers at 21:30.

On Hum TV, ‘Sehra Main Safar’ at 21:00 registered 78,000 viewers, followed by ‘Maan’ at 20:00 with 21,500 viewers and ‘Zara Yaad Kar’ at 22:00 with 14,400 viewers.

On Geo TV, ‘Sangdil’ was top show with 13,400 viewers, followed by ‘Sila Aur Jannat’ at 21:00 with 11,000 viewers and ‘Babul Ka Angna’ at 19:30 with 2,900 viewers.
