Overnights: ‘Golmaal Again’ gives Star Plus huge boost on Sunday in UK

The Star Plus premiere of blockbuster ‘Golmaal Again’ gave the channel a huge boost on Sunday, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com .

Star Plus, which has been underperforming in Sunday ratings recently, got a much needed surge yesterday. Its share stood at 0.16%. The Ajay Devgn 2017 comedy caper was watched by a huge 64,600 viewers at 17:00 – peaking at 81,700 viewers. ‘Golmaal Again’ tops the chart as one of the biggest premieres on UK Asian TV history. Earlier, the film was shown on Star Gold, which didn’t prove as well.

Star Plus’ other big show on Sunday was ‘India’s Next Superstars’ at 20:00 with 28,200 viewers.

Hum TV was in second place with a share of 0.06%. Its top rated shows on Sunday were ‘Tumhari Maryum’ at 20:00 with 48,200 viewers, followed by ‘Oh Rungreza’ repeat at 23:00 with 17,000 viewers and ‘Nurpur Ki Rani’ at 21:00 with 16,000 viewers.

Sony Entertainment Television did well with a share of 0.05%. ‘Super Dancer’ at 20:00 was watched by 37,400 viewers, followed by ‘Crime Patrol’ at 22:30 with 15,300 viewers and ‘CID’ repeat at 16:00 with 13,400 viewers.

Colors, Star Gold, B4U Movies and NTV were next with a share of 0.03%. Colors’ biggest show on Sunday was ‘Rising Star India’ at 21:00 with 17,600 viewers.

ZEE TV’s share slipped again to zero.
