Overnights: Geo TV impresses on Monday in UK

Geo TV witnessed a surge in UK ratings yesterday, with a boost not just in its primetime schedule but also some of its daytime output, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com .

On average Geo TV’s ratings between 17:00 – 23:00 averaged with 14,400 viewers, compared to 9,400 viewers on rival, Hum TV in the same slot. Geo TV’s most watched evening show was ‘Khali Hath’ at 20:00 with 27,600 viewers, followed by ‘Bholi Bano’ at 21:00 with 17,400 viewers.

Hum TV’s biggest show on the channel was ‘Susraal Mera’ at 21:00 with 28,300 viewers, followed by ‘Ya Raha Dil’ at 20:00 with 17,200 viewers.

On Star Plus, the Star Plus Dopahar slot was dominated by ‘Ek Aastha Aisi Bhee’ at 13:30 with 22,300 viewers, followed by ‘Too Sooraj Mein Saanjh Piyaji’ at 13:00 with 20,400 viewers and ‘Dhhai Kilo Prem’ at 14:00 with 11,300 viewers. ‘Meri Durga’ which moved to 12:30 was watched by 8,300 viewers. ‘Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon’ top afternoon show with 24,000 viewers at 15:00, followed by ‘Ek Haazaron Mein Meri Behna Hai’ at 14:30 with 14,000 viewers.

Star Plus’ evening shows were led by ‘Saathiya’ at 19:00 with 109,400 viewers, followed by ‘Mere Angne Mein’ at 18:00 with 85,600 viewers and ‘Pardes Mein Hai Mera Dil’ at 20:00 with 80,000 viewers. ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ in its new time slot at 18:30 raked in a decent 54,400 viewers.

On Colors, ‘Dil Se Dil Tak’ at 21:00 topped ratings with 10,900 viewers, followed by ‘Swabhimaan’ at 21:30 with 7,800 viewers and ‘Devanshi’ at 19:00 with 5,400 viewers.

On Rishtey, ‘Uttaran’ at 18:30 was watched by 22,700 viewers, followed by ‘Kasam’ at 20:30 with 13,600 viewers and ‘Thapki’ at 20:00 with 13,400 viewers.

On &TV, ‘Gangaa’ led with 18,800 viewers, followed by ‘Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hain’ at 20:30 with 4,000 viewers and ‘Ek Vivah Aisa Bhi’ at 19:30 with 1,700 viewers.
