Overnights: Geo TV & Geo News grab No.1 spot on Saturday in UK

Geo TV and Geo News emerged as the No.1 channels in UK ratings on Saturday, beating off all competition from Star Plus, Hum TV and New Vision TV, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com .

In a rare victory, the two channels delivered a share of 0.10% each. Geo TV climbed to the top on the back of shows like ‘Rubaru Ishq Tha’ at 16:00, ‘Mera Khuda Janay’ at 17:00 and ‘Tohmat’ at 19:00 all attracting 18,900 viewers each.

Geo News also excelled with ‘Khabarnak’ at 20:15 delivered 34,900 viewers, followed by ‘Geo World News Headlines’ at 23:00 with 32,000 viewers. Rival New Vision TV fetched a share of 0.08%.

Sony Entertainment Television’s share stood at 0.08% with ‘Crime Patrol’ at 00:30 pulling in 29,300 viewers, followed by ‘Indian Idol’ at 20:00 with 12,100 viewers. ‘Dus Ka Dum’ at 20:30 was watched by 5,800 viewers.

Star Plus fetched a share of 0.06% with ‘Dil Hai Hindustani’ raking in 17,800 viewers at 20:00, followed by ‘Qayamat Ki Raat’ at 21:30 with 14,700 viewers and ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ at 19:00 with 10,600 viewers.

Colors also attracted a share of 0.06% with ‘Desi Beat’ pulling in 17,000 viewers, followed by ‘Dance Deewane’ at 21:00 with 16,000 viewers and ‘Naagin 3’ at 20:00 with 14,500 viewers.

ZEE TV delivered a share of 0.03% with ‘America’s Smartest Family’ at 21:30 raking in 24,800 viewers. Movies ‘Karz’ and ‘Raees’ were watched by 4,100 viewers and 4,300 viewers respectively.

Hum TV slumped to a share of 0.02% with ‘Main Khayal Hun Kisi Aur Ka’ leading with 5,600 viewers, followed by ‘Dastaan’ at 21:00 and ‘Jago Pakistan Jago’ with 5,500 viewers.
