'Geet' continues to impress in UK on Star Life Ok

The re-run of ‘Geet’ has managed to top the ratings on Star Life Ok, outdoing other original shows on the channel yesterday, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsia.

‘Geet’ at 14:30 pulled in 41,300 viewers – peaking at 55,400 viewers – one of the best ever ratings for the show since it returned on the network. In second place was the repeat of ‘Kaisa Yeh Ishq Hai’ at 15:00 with 27,200 viewers and ‘Mahadev’ with 24,900 viewers. The re-run of ‘Iss Pyar Ko Kya Naam Doon’ in Hindi got 2,600 viewers, whilst the English version at 18:00 rated zero.

On Star Plus, ‘SaraswatiChandra’ was back on top of the UK Asian TV ratings with another big audience tuning in at 19:30. The show was watched by 222,000 viewers, followed by ‘Meri Bhabhi’ with 191,300 viewers and ‘Saathiya’ in third with 152,600 viewers.

The others in the pecking order were ‘Mahabharat’ (149,400), ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’ (130,700), ‘Pyar Ka Dard Hai’ (117,500), ‘Ek Ghar Banaunga’ (116,800), ‘Veera’ (65,900), ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ (64,100) and ‘Iss Pyar Ko Kya Naam Doon 2’ (26,300).

On Colors, ‘Bigg Boss 7’ continued to rule the channel’s ratings with 71,300 viewers, followed by ‘Madhubala’ with 28,100 viewers and ‘Uttaran’ with 7,500 viewers.

On Zing, ‘Trendsetters’ was top on Zing with 24,300 viewers, followed by ‘Bollywood Life’ at 18:00 with 15,700 viewers and ‘Bollywood Now’ at 17:30 with 14,200 viewers.

On Rishtey, ‘Bani – Ishq Da Kalma’ was top with one of the best ever figures – raking in 113,200 viewers at 19:30, followed by ‘Laagi Tujhse Lagan’ with 64,100 viewers, ‘Na Aana Iss Desh Laado’ with 57,000 viewers and ‘Bandhan’ with 56,500 viewers. ‘Parichay’ got 34,500 viewers.
