Overnights: ‘Fan’ proves a hit for SAB TV on Sunday

The free-to-air television premiere of Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Fan’ was the most watched Bollywood film across Asian TV networks last night in UK, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com.

The film, which was aired twice was watched by 32,000 viewers at 20:00 – peaking at 48,800 viewers, while the earlier telecast at 13:00 raked in 11,700 viewers. While, the film was a huge hit for the channel last night, it didn’t deliver the kind of audience the channel did with ‘Dilwale’ in March. The film then scored around 70,000 viewers.

It was generally a big day for SAB TV yesterday with ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’ at 16:00 also doing well with 21,400 viewers and the ‘Fan – UK Take Over’ at 19:30 pulling in 3,000 viewers.

On Star Plus, ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ was the most watched show with 139,400 viewers, followed by ‘Mere Angne Mein’ at 18:00 with 125,000 viewers, ‘Saathiya’ at 19:00 with 124,700 viewers and ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’ at 21:00 with 101,100 viewers.

On Colors, ‘Code Red’ re-run at 23:30 led with 4,000 viewers, followed by ‘Kavach’ at 22:30 with 3,200 viewers and ‘Udaan’ at 21:30 with 1,400 viewers.

On Rishtey, ‘Uttaran’ led with 10,000 viewers at 18:30, followed by ‘Thapki’ at 20:00 with 3,900 viewers and ‘Yamla Pagla Deewana 2’ at 20:30 with 3,700 viewers.

On &TV, movie ‘Badlapur’ at 22:00 delivered 5,200 viewers, followed by film ‘All The Best’ at 15:30 with 3,400 viewers and the finale of ‘So You Think You Can Dance’ at 20:00 with 2,800 viewers.

On Hum TV, ‘Udaari’ stayed on a ratings high with 79,200 viewers at 20:00, followed by ‘Akbar Asghari’ at 21:00 with 26,500 viewers and ‘Kathputli’ at 22:00 with 16,700 viewers.

On Geo TV, ‘Yeh Chahatein Yeh Shiddatein’ at 21:00 attracted 3,600 viewers at 21:00, followed by ‘Dhaani’ at 22:00 with 3,000 viewers.
