'Iss Pyar Ko Kya Naam Doon' hits high in UK

The English dubbed version of ‘Iss Pyar Ko Kya Naam Doon’ (series 1) on Star Life Ok achieved its best ever ratings since it launched earlier this year.

According to exclusive data obtained by BizAsia, the English version of the romantic Arnav-Khushi drama pulled in 28,300 viewers – peaking at 39,500 viewers at 18:00. The English dubbed version of the show, which was launched with much fanfare has failed to click with audiences, with the original earlier in the day at 14:00 proving a bigger success. Yesterday’s 14:00 original broadcast pulled in 2,000 viewers.

However, the ever dependable ‘Savdhaan India’ remained the most watched show on Star Life Ok with 29,400 viewers. ‘Gustakh Dil’ managed to pull in 27,400 viewers at 19:30.

On Star Plus, ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’ at 21:00 was the most watched Asian show in the UK last night with 198,000 viewers, followed by ‘SaraswatiChandra’ with 187,200 viewers and ‘Meri Bhabhi’ in third with 183,700 viewers.

On Rishtey, ‘Laagi Tujhse Lagan’ was top with 97,700 viewers, followed by ‘Bani – Ishq Da Kalma’ with 80,700 viewers and ‘Parichay’ in third with 58,300 viewers.

On Colors, ‘Bigg Boss 7’ at 21:00 delivered an audience of 89,000 viewers – peaking at 119,600 viewers.
