‘Do Dil Ek Jaan’ has become a surprise hit for Star Life Ok in the UK, with record high ratings yesterday, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsia.

‘Do Dil Ek Jaan’ at 21:00 pulled in 63,000 viewers – peaking at 70,400 viewers. The re-run of ‘Geet’ is also proving well for the channel with 14,200 viewers at 14:30 and ‘Mahadev’ with 9,000 viewers at 20:00. ‘Iss Pyar Ko Kya Naam Doon’ re-run in Hindi got 4,200 viewers at 14:00 – while the English dubbed got 100 viewers.

However, sister station, Star Plus was the overall winner yesterday with ‘SaraswatiChandra’ bringing in the biggest viewership with 208,000 viewers, followed by ‘Veera’ with 204,800 viewers and ‘Pyar Ka Dard Hai’ with 186,800 viewers.

The others in the pecking order were ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ (182,600), ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’ (173,600), ‘Meri Bhabhi’ (158,400), ‘Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai’ (149,500), ‘Saathiya’ (137,600) and ‘Ek Ghar Banaunga’ (111,000).

On Rishtey, ‘Bani – Ishq Da Kalma’ at 14:00 (repeat) was the biggest ratings winner with 80,500 viewers, followed by the original episode at 19:30 with 71,000 viewers and ‘Na Aana Iss Desh Laado’ with 42,800 viewers and ‘Bairi Piya’ with 42,100 viewers.

On Zing, ‘Bollywood Life’ at 22:00 pulled in most viewers with 15,600 viewers, followed by ‘ZEE Multiplex’ with 12,100 viewers and ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa’ getting 6,600 viewers at 15:00.
