Overnights: ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’ stays on top in UK

The high-end drama in ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’ has continued to keep viewers gripped as it remained the most watched Asian TV show in the UK for the second consecutive night.

According to exclusive data obtained by BizAsia, ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’ attracted over 258,700 – peaking at 292,100 viewers – one of the biggest ever audiences for the 21:00 show.

‘Pyar Ka Dard Hai’ continued to impress as well with 160,700 viewers at 22:00, followed by ‘Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai’, which got 152,300. ‘Kaali Ek PunarAvtar’ also did well with 137,700 viewers tuning in at 20:00. ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ was in fifth place with 133,600 viewers. New show ‘SaraswatiChandra’ was down to sixth last night with just 122,700 viewers tuning in. ‘Saathiya’ at 19:00 pulled in 119,000 viewers and ‘Veera’ at 22:30 attracting 118,400 viewers.

Over on Zing, local production ‘Cloud 9’ pulled in 3,000 viewers at 10:30 – peaking at 8,000 viewers. At 16:30, the show’s repeat got around 1,000 viewers. The 18:30 and 22:30 episodes rated zero. ‘Bollywood Bulletin’ at 17:00 was the channel’s most watched show with 6,300 viewers tuning in.

On Star Life Ok, ‘Devon Ka Dev Mahadev’ got one of the best ratings with 65,000 viewers switching on at 20:00, followed by ‘Welcome’ with 44,000 viewers at 22:00. Around 31,000 viewers tuned into ‘Savdhaan India’ at 22:30. ‘Junoon’ at 21:30 attracted 20,700 viewers.

On Rishtey, ‘Jeevan Saathi’ garnered 62,300 viewers at 20:00, followed by ‘Bairi Piya’ at 20:30 with 48,600 and ‘Na Aana Is Desh Laado’ with 43,500 viewers.
