Overnights: ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’ re-run boosts Star Plus on Friday

The re-run of Star Plus’ nostalgic show ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’ proved a huge success in UK ratings on Friday, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com .

‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’, which re-runs at 14:30 raked in 50,400 viewers – peaking at 55,100 viewers. The show also had more viewers than some of the primetime shows on the channel. The most watched show during the evening was ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ at 19:30 with 103,600 viewers, followed by ‘Tu Sooraj Mein Saanjh Piyaji’ at 19:00 with 93,500 viewers and ‘Kullfi Kumarr Bajewala’ at 20:30 with 69,300 viewers. Star Plus’ share stood at 0.25%.

Hum TV remained a strong No.2 with a share of 0.12%. Its top rated shows on Friday were ‘Parchhayi’ at 21:00 with 64,900 viewers, followed by ‘Zun Mureed’ at 20:00 with 33,500 viewers and ‘Naseebon Jali’ at 19:00 with 27,400 viewers.

Other channels in the pecking order included Geo TV with 0.05%, Sony Entertainment Television and Colors with 0.02% and ZEE TV with 0.01%.
