Overnights: ‘DDLJ’ keeps SAB TV high on Sunday in UK

The umpteenth repeat telecast of modern day romantic classic, ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’ (1995) on Sony SAB TV kept the channel on a ratings high on Sunday, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com.

The blockbuster movie featuring Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol, was watched by 37,500 viewers at 16:00 – peaking at 70,600 viewers. It was easily the most watched movie on Sunday on UK Asian television. ‘Mere Brother Ki Dulhan’, which was followed at 20:00 with 26,800 viewers and ‘Insaaf Ka Tarazu’ at 23:00 with 11,900 viewers. In a strong day for SAB TV ratings on Sunday, earlier in the day, ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge – Behind The Scenes Special’ at 14:30 fetched 9,600 viewers and ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ at 13:00 with 7,500 viewers.

On Star Plus, ‘Saathiya’ attracted 142,300 viewers at 19:00, followed by ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ at 19:30 with 136,000 viewers and ‘Mere Angne Mein’ at 18:00 with 104,500 viewers. ‘Dil Hai Hindustani’ at 20:00 did well with 100,700 viewers. However, new show ‘Koi Laut Ke Aaya Hai’ slumped to just 16,400 viewers at 21:00 in its second outing. ‘Koffee With Karan – Directors Special’ at 22:00 was watched by just 12,500 viewers.

On Colors, ‘Rising Star India’ stayed top choice on the channel with 48,700 viewers at 21:00, followed by ‘Naagin’ repeat at 23:00 with 9,000 viewers and ‘Devanshi’ at 19:00 with 8,100 viewers.

On Rishtey, ‘Uttaran’ at 18:30 was watched by 31,600 viewers, followed by ‘Thapki’ at 20:00 with 22,900 viewers.

On &TV, ‘Hoshiyaar’ at 21:30 topped ratings with 15,800 viewers, followed by ‘The Voice India’ at 20:00 with 10,100 viewers and classic film ‘Sangam’ at 15:30 with 9,100 viewers.

On Hum TV, ‘Pani Jesa Pyar’ at 20:00 attracted 44,200 viewers, followed by ‘Sammi’ at 20:00 with 38,400 viewers and ‘Kitni Girhain Baqi Hain’ at 22:00 with 34,300 viewers.

On Prime TV, Pakistan Super League at 15:30 delivered 10,400 viewers.

On Geo TV, ‘Khan’ at 20:00 pulled in 5,800 viewers, followed by Pakistan Super League at 15:30 with 5,200 viewers.
