Overnights: ‘DDLJ’ gives ratings boost to Sony MAX on Saturday

The cult classic ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’ gave Sony MAX a ratings boost last night in UK ratings, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com .

The 1995 blockbuster, which was shown for the first time in HD on Sony MAX to Sky HD subscribers, was watched by 21,400 viewers at 20:00 – peaking at 69,900 viewers. It was generally a good day for Sony Pictures Networks overall, with ‘Bhootnath’ on Sony SAB TV at 11:35 with 35,600 viewers – peaking at 86,600 viewers. ‘Thoda Pyar Thoda Magic’ at 17:29 on Sony SAB TV also did well with 16,700 viewers.

Also on Sony MAX, India V Sri Lanka at 04:45 was watched by 11,800 viewers. The Vijender Singh boxing, which was aired live at 13:50 averaged with 1,000 viewers – peaking at 12,100 viewers.

On ZEE Cinema, ‘Naam Shabana’ at 18:00 attracted 8,600 viewers, followed by ‘Taare Zameen Par’ at 11:35 with 4,900 viewers.

On Colors, ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’ at 16:30 was watched by 24,000 viewers.
