Overnights: ‘Dance India Dance’ makes promising start in UK on Saturday

ZEE TV’s much publicised show ‘Dance India Dance’ featuring Kareena Kapoor Khan as one of the celebrity judges, lifted the channel in Saturday’s UK ratings, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com.

The first episode of the new series was watched by 19,100 viewers at 19:30 – surprisingly putting it ahead of the penultimate episode of rival ‘Super Dancer Chapter 3’ on Sony Entertainment Television. The latter mustered in 14,800 viewers.

‘Dance India Dance’, which also featured choreographer Bosco Martis and rapper Raftaar, gave ZEE TV an overall share of 0.03%, putting it on par with Star Bharat and Sony MAX 2.

Sony TV was the No.1 Asian TV broadcaster on Saturday with a whopping share of 0.13%, followed by New Vision TV with 0.08%, Star Plus with 0.06%.
