Overnights: ‘DABH’ & ‘EHMMBH’ top UK ratings

'Diya Aur Baati Hum' back on top ratings

‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’ and ‘Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna’ both topped the UK ratings last night, with the former having a slightly bigger peak audience, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsia.

Both shows got 151,000 viewers at 21:00 and 20:30 respectively, however, ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’ peaked higher to 172,200 viewers, while ‘Ek Hazaaron Mein Behna Hai’ managed 172,000 viewers. In second place was ‘SaraswatiChandra’ with 144,800 – following on from the break-up of the wedding drama. In third place was ‘Meri Bhabhi’ with 134,100 viewers.

The others in the pecking order were ‘Veera’ with 130,200 viewers, followed by ‘Pyar Ka Dard Hai’ (109,300), ‘Saathiya’ (97,600), ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ (74,800) and ‘Ek Ghar Banaunga’ (56,900).

On Rishtey, ‘Bairi Piya’ was the leader with 78,000 viewers, followed by ‘Jeevan Saathi’ with 75,800 and ‘Na Aana Iss Desh Laado’ with 53,600 viewers.

On Star Life Ok, ‘Devon Ka Dev Mahadev’ led the ratings with 33,700 viewers at 20:00, followed by ‘Savdhaan India’ with 26,300 viewers and ‘Amrit Manthan’ with 23,100 viewers. Also to note, the repeat telecast of ‘Kaisa Yeh Ishq’ surprised many with 24,700 viewers tuning in at 10:00 in morning.

The re-run episodes of hit show ‘Iss Pyar Ko Kya Naam Doon’ on Star Life Ok opened up well with 15,700 viewers watching the Hindi episode at 14:00 – peaking at 25,600 viewers. The English dubbed version at 18:00 disappointed with just 500 viewers tuning in. It remains to be seen how well both episodes are received in weeks to come.

On Sony SAB TV, ‘Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ led the ratings with 53,700 viewers, followed by ‘Jeanie Aur Juju’ got 33,000 viewers and ‘Baal Veer’ got 31,100 viewers.
