Overnights: ‘Crime Patrol’ & ‘KBC 8’ pull in record audiences on Friday


Sony Entertainment Television’ popular social series, ‘Crime Patrol’, together with ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’, delivered record audiences on Friday, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com .

‘Crime Patrol’ was the biggest show on Friday on the channel with 47,400 viewers at 22:30 – peaking at 75,500 viewers, followed by ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ at 21:00 with 24,900 viewers and ‘Pehredaar Piya Ki’ at 20:30 with 16,800 viewers. The channel’s all-day share stood at an impressive 0.07%.

Sony TV was miles ahead of arch-rival, ZEE TV, which had a share of just 0.03%. Its top rated show was ‘Piyaa Albela’ repeat at 14:30 with 22,100 viewers, followed by ‘Kundali Bhagya’ at 21:30 with 13,000 viewers and ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ with 11,900 viewers.

Colors’ share was on par with Sony TV with 0.07%. Its top rated show on Friday was ‘Swabhimaan’ at 21:30 with 37,800 viewers, followed by ‘Shakti’ at 20:00 with 26,200 viewers and ‘Sasural Simar Ka’ at 19:30 with 21,400 viewers.

Star Plus remained the UK’s most watched Asian channel with a share of 0.21% with its top rated show being ‘Chakravyuh’ at 18:00 with 108,400 viewers, followed by ‘Chandra Nandini’ at 20:30 with 74,400 viewers and ‘Naamkarann’ with 60,600 viewers at 21:00. Gul Khan’s two productions ‘Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon – Season 3’ and ‘Ishqbaaaz’ slumped to another ratings low with 22,500 viewers and 19,100 viewers respectively. Surprisingly, the late evening show ‘Kya Qusoor Hai Amala Ka’ at 22:30 pulled in a bigger audience with 22,500 viewers.

On Star Bharat, ‘Savdhaan India’ at 22:00 fetched 10,100 viewers, followed by ‘Kya Haal Mr Paanchal’ at 20:00 and ‘Nimki Mukhiya’ at 20:30 with 10,000 viewers each.

On Rishtey, ‘Main Teri Parchai Hoon’ at 22:30 pulled in 17,100 viewers, followed by ‘Balika Vadhu’ at 21:00 with 5,500 viewers.
