Overnights: Cricket puts Hum Masala at No.1 in UK on Sunday

The start of the three-day Twenty20 series between Pakistan and West Indies put broadcaster Hum Masala at No.1 in UK ratings on Sunday, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com .

Hum Masala beat all other UK Asian TV channels to take the coveted No.1 position. The channel’s share stood at 0.11% with cricket from 15:00 fetched a staggering 45,000 viewers average during the four-hour coverage. The series continues over the next couple of days.

Colors was placed at No.2 with a share of 0.10% with ‘Rising Star India’ continuing to push the channel with 41,800 viewers at 21:00.

Star Plus was at No.3 with a share of 0.08% with ‘India’s Next Superstars’ at 20:00 pulling in 29,400 viewers, followed by movie ‘Dolly Ki Doli’ at 18:00 with 15,400 viewers.

ZEE TV was next with a share of 0.07% with movies ‘Vivah’ at 16:00 pulling in 20,900 viewers and ‘Coolie’ at 12:00 with 11,500 viewers.

Sony Entertainment Television and Sony SAB TV delivered a share of 0.06%.
