Overnights: Cricket gives Sony MAX record high all-day share

The ongoing cricket series between Pakistan and Sri Lanka proved a huge success for Sony MAX on Wednesday, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com .

The match yesterday attracted an average of 40,700 viewers – peaking at 82,600 viewers. It was also given a boost with a record-high all-day share of 0.19%. It was much higher than rivals ZEE TV (0.07%), Colors (0.4%) and sister channel, Sony Entertainment Television (0.04%).

Star Plus remained by far the most watched channel with a share of 0.27% with ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ delivering an impressive 145,300 viewers at 19:30, followed by ‘Chakravyuh’ at 20:00 with 108,700 viewers, ‘Naamkarann’ at 21:00 with 91,800 viewers, ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ at 18:00 with 73,300 viewers and ‘Tu Sooraj Mein Saanjh Piyaji’ at 19:00 with 71,200 viewers.

On Colors, ‘Bigg Boss 11’ at 21:00 attracted 37,600 viewers, followed by ‘Shakti’ at 20:00 with 22,900 viewers and ‘Tu Aashiqui’ at 20:30 with 18,900 viewers.

On Sony Entertainment Television, ‘Beyhadh’ led with 23,100 viewers at 20:30, followed by ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ at 21:00 with 21,100 viewers and ‘Yeh Un Dinon Ki Baat Hai’ at 22:30 with 8,500 viewers.

On ZEE TV, Maha Sangam – Aaj Likhenge Kal’ at 11:00 repeat topped ratings with 20,100 viewers, followed by ‘Kundali Bhagya’ at 21:30 with 16,300 viewers and ‘Zindagi Ki Mehek’ at 20:30 with 9,400 viewers.

On Hum TV, ‘Yaqeen Ka Safar’ at 20:30 pulled in 40,500 viewers, followed by ‘Thori Si Wafa’ at 19:30 with 32,100 viewers and ‘Mein Maa Nahi Bana Chahti’ at 22:00 with 24,800 viewers.

On Hum Masala, ‘Handi’ at 10:00 delivered 30,100 viewers, followed by ‘Mehboob’s Kitchen’ at 11:00 with 28,300 viewers and ‘Mazedaar Daal Sabzi’ at 12:30 with 23,500 viewers.

On Geo TV, ‘Sawera’ repeat at 23:00 raked in 2,700 viewers.
