Overnights: Colors thrashes Star Plus on Sunday
With a weakened programme line-up and the ongoing Indian Premier League, Star Plus was thrashed by Colors on Sunday night, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsia.
‘Khatron Ke Khiladi’ got the biggest ever ratings of the season with 127,300 viewers – peaking at 181,700 viewers on Colors. The show was easily the most watched show on UK Asian telly last night. This was followed by ‘Comedy Nights With Kapil’ at 22:15, which got 85,100 viewers – peaking at 134,200 viewers.
In comparison, Star Plus delivered one of the worst ratings ever for a Sunday night. ‘Ishq Kills’ at 22:00 pulled in 24,900 viewers, while ‘Mad In India’ at 21:00 could only muster in 20,800 viewers.
On Lamhe, the blockbuster Raj Kapoor movie ‘Mera Naam Joker’ got 9,200 viewers at 19:30.
On UMP Movies, the Yash Raj Films ‘Bunty Aur Babli’ and ‘Salaam Namaste’ proved a ratings success last night. ‘Bunty Aur Babli’ at 17:45 got 16,200 viewers, while ‘Salmaan Namaste’ at 21:00 raked in 47,000 viewers.
