Overnights: Colors stay strong on Boxing Day

It certainly has been time for festive cheer for Colors after doing so well in UK ratings during the Christmas break, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsia.

The channel’s mix of movies and strong programming made it another winner for Colors on Boxing Day. The top rated show on UK Asian television was ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ at 23:00 on Star Plus, however, ‘Bigg Boss 8’ led the ratings on Colors with 91,400 viewers, followed by ‘Udaan’ at 20:00 with 58,600 viewers and ‘Shastri Sisters’ at 20:30 with 54,900 viewers. The afternoon movie ‘Mary Kom’ starring Priyanka Chopra did well too with 22,100 viewers.

On Star Plus, ‘Everest’ got the biggest ratings since its launch with 95,000 viewers at 22:00, followed by ‘Veera’ at 22:30 with 93,600 viewers.

On Rishtey, ‘Meri Aashiqui’ at 20:30 raked in 68,300 viewers, followed by ‘Laado’ at 21:00 with 67,300 viewers and ‘Parichay’ with 47,800 viewers.

On Life Ok, ‘Savdhaan India’ was top with 28,500 viewers, followed by ‘Laut Aao Trisha’ with 16,900 viewers and ‘Ajeeb Dastaan Hai Yeh’ at 21:30 in third with 16,200 viewers.

On Hum TV Europe, ‘Sadqay Tumharay’ at 20:00 was top with 34,700 viewers.
